Privacy and confidentiality:

Your records will be maintained in written and electronic form. Your information is securely protected against loss, theft, or unauthorised access; and will not be sold or distributed unless required by law. You may be subscribed to an online mailing list for service updates and special offers. You can unsubscribe at anytime.

All registered Clinical Hypnotherapists must engage with supervision (a support and consultation process where cases are discussed with an experienced therapist without using any information that would identify the client). Supervision takes place one to one with a supervisor, or in groups led by a supervisor.

Registered Clinical Hypnotherapists must also engage with continuous professional development (CPD). Anonymous case information may be shared as part of training case examples.
-
Protecting your confidentiality is an important commitment on the part of the therapist and Saffron Hypnotherapy. Client confidentiality will only be compromised where client’s pose a risk of harm to themselves and/or others; or where disclosure is subject to a Court Order, includes information about a Terrorism Act 2000 offence and/or is necessary to prevent or detect illegal activity.
-
Where disclosure is necessary, if possible, I will discuss with you my intended next steps and request your consent in writing. This may include consent to contact your next of kin, or a relevant health professional.
-
All clients will be asked to sign the Confidentiality Agreement so that they are clear about the limits of confidentiality.
